The name carries four meanings. All four are true at once.
OPA: the Greek cry that celebrates life, and a call to stay alert.
OPA, as an acronym: Others, Purpose, Attitude. Connect with others, engage with a deeper purpose, and meet all of life with attitude. From an essay by Alex Pattakos and Elaine Dundon in Fast Company in 2013. Stamped on the OPA dog tags in 2018.
Rasa: Sanskrit for juice, essence, or taste. Stephen took the word from a lecture by Ben Wilson.
RASA, as an acronym: Receive, Appreciate, Summarize, Ask. Julian Treasure's four steps of good listening.
OPA says what the work celebrates. RASA says how it is done, which is by listening first. The name was set on November 4, 2018.
